Robinson lives with his parents and 3 of his 7 brothers. They have gone through hard times lately, so there is not enough money for Robinson to continue on to post-secondary school. Robinson is a proven leader: in high school, he was class president. Through hard work and studying, he has excellent marks and extraordinarily good English.

“I want to return to my community after my degree in order to support my parents and the whole community in which I live. I want to make people aware that, like me, hiding inside of the people of my community are great powers of self-improvement.”

Student Updates
Letter from Robinson Gutierrez Llanos

Education Generation sponsors,

My name is Robinson Gutierrez Llanos. I live in the community of Ollantaytambo. My biggest dream is to enter university. Once I have finished, I will help others like you have helped me – the people who need it the most.

Right now I am preparing for university; I would like to be licensed in tourism so that I can contribute to my community. In addition, I would like to learn many languages and teach in my community.
I also would like to share ideas with my fellow citizens. I believe that in order to achieve my dream, a lot of effort will be needed, and above all the courage to accomplish your goals and to be optimistic to achieve everything that you planned during your whole life. The one thing I needed was your support to complete my dreams, and in this way cooperate with my country and my entire community,  and above all with those who are most needy, to give them all the support that they need.

Thank you so much for all of the support that you are giving us. We will always keep you in our hearts.

Sincerely,

Robinson
