$400 of $400 raised

Emy Luz lives with her parents and 5 younger siblings. Emy's parents are farmers and in order to reach high school each day, Emy Luz and other students from Soccma would take a 1 hour ride in the back of a cattle truck, and then walk for 2 hours. She has shown herself to be a leader: she was the president of her school and is willing to fight for what is needed in her community so that it can move forward. Emy will study both Culinary Arts and English. Her community, Soccma, is the poorest in the Ollantaytambo district.

“I want to return to my community after my degree because I would like to apply myself and do all I can to learn in the Mosqoy program to help my siblings and other people.”

Letter from Emy Luz Lonconi Ttica

Dear sponsor Education Generation,

I am Emy Luz Lonconi Ttica; I am 19 years old. I am writing this small letter to you to thank you for your support. I promise you that I will not fail. Well, the career that I have chosen is culinary arts because I really love making new Peruvian dishes. Thank you and I will not let you down during my studies. Many thanks for this opportunity. I am so happy because I am going to study, it is incredible. I have nothing else to say and I say goodbye. When you read this letter please remember there is someone who needs [the help]. I will always be so thankful for your support.

Bye, take care.

Emy Luz
