Although Shafiullah is only 14 years old, he has already shown the potential needed to study Business Management at the Afghan Canadian Community Center in Kandahar. His father passed away 3 years ago, and his brothers are helping to support him while he continues his education. His goal is to become a computer teacher and provide better infrastructure for the people of his community. In his spare time, Shafiullah likes to practice his English by watching the news and dramatic shows and movies.
The Afghan-Canadian Community Center (ACCC) is a post-secondary institution which provides courses in Business Management, Information Technology, English and health care to more than 700 students in Kandahar, Afghanistan. More than half the school’s students are women, who attend at no charge. Proceeds from the Men’s Program are used to fund women’s education programs at the ACCC.
