Occupation of parents: Farmer and cook
Guillermina is inspired to be a chef with one parent working as a cook, though is also considering a career in pharmacy - she is a top student in her community but her family, with 5 siblings from 13 to 23, can not afford the cost of her post-secondary education without scholarship support.
“We have been studying for 11 years so to study a professional career, for our future, is of interest to us – it’s our dream. My aspiration is to make something of myself and accomplish my dreams, and to make my parents happy – as they have put so much effort and sacrifice into us.”
Guillermina is nearing completion of her first year of university in good standing, and is therefor eligible for a second year's funding!
*Please note that this scholarship is for $400. Whereas the first year scholarship covered her total annual costs of $1000, this year Education Generation is funding $400 and Mosqoy has secured alternative funding for the remainder.

Marleni, Jonathan, Cynthya, Guillermina, Jonathan, and Dina are all enrolled in post-secondary schools in Cusco, Peru. They began their studies in August/September of 2008. The students have begun their second semester of studies and they are waiting for their grades for the first semester. The students are all doing really well and are happy living together with the other Mosqoy students in Cusco. They have also enjoyed having an English tutor come regularly to help them with their studies. The students have expressed a great deal of thanks to all of the sponsors who have made their dreams possible.
