Marleni wishes to study computer science, but comes from a farming family with 11 siblings (ages: 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 21, 24, 26, 28). The costs of a post secondary education are impossible for her family to contemplate. This scholarship pays the tuition fee for Marleni while Mosqoy has secured other funding for her cost of living in shared housing with other scholarship recipients.
“I would like to become a professional so that I can make something of myself and help my little siblings and parents. I would like to become a professional so that I can excel and stand out from the poor.”
Marleni is nearing completion of her first year of university in good standing, and is therefor eligible for a second year's funding!
*Please note that this scholarship is for $400. Whereas the first year scholarship covered her total annual costs of $1000, this year Education Generation is funding $400 and Mosqoy has secured alternative funding for the remainder.

Marleni, Jonathan, Cynthya, Guillermina, Jonathan, and Dina are all enrolled in post-secondary schools in Cusco, Peru. They began their studies in August/September of 2008. The students have begun their second semester of studies and they are waiting for their grades for the first semester. The students are all doing really well and are happy living together with the other Mosqoy students in Cusco. They have also enjoyed having an English tutor come regularly to help them with their studies. The students have expressed a great deal of thanks to all of the sponsors who have made their dreams possible.
