New Fellowship Program
March 22, 2009Education Generation is pleased to announce the launch of its fellowship program in September 2009.
The fellowship program is designed to attract and send volunteers to visit our partners on-site and witness firsthand the impact that our student scholarships are making on the lives of students. The fellows will report back to our donors and supporters on the status of our partners’ scholarship programs. Some of the specific tasks will include meeting and interviewing students; assisting students with communication updates, such as helping create blogs and journals in English; and meeting with our partners and assisting them with various tasks as needed. Fellowships will be unpaid and the volunteers will be expected to fundraise for their trip.
The program will commence with one of our team member’s visit to Mosqoy, our partner based in Peru. The goals of the visit will be to meet with and interview previously-funded students and generate communication updates for our donors. Furthermore, Education Generation will help Mosqoy select a new batch of students as well as help set up streamlined communication methods for the students to use.
