New Partnership Announcement

February 1, 2009

Education Generation is pleased to announce a new partnership with The Afghan School Project, an organization operating through the Canadian International Learning Foundation. Founded in early 2007, the Afghan School Project is a Canada-based grassroots initiative, providing financial and administrative support to an educational institution in Kandahar, Afghanistan known as the Afghan-Canadian Community Center (ACCC).

The Afghan-Canadian Community Center provides students with the skills required to obtain employment to help them support their families, benefit their communities, and participate in the reconstruction of Afghanistan. For example, the ACCC has partnered with the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology (SAIT) to offer a Business Management certificate program for 32 students who aspire to work in business.

Thanks to Education Generation supporters, Ali Raza, an Afghan School Project student featured on educationgeneration.org, has been sponsored to enroll in the ACCC Business Management certificate program. Ali looks forward to working hard at his studies to provide a brighter future for his family, and we look forward to funding the dreams of many more students through this exciting new partnership!
